We sit between different realities in Montgomery
We are an “edge” church. We sit outside the city center, in an area marked by contrasts. Drive in one direction and you’ll find affluent neighborhoods. In the other direction, life is harder, grittier.
We look both directions – opening our doors and hearts to people of all backgrounds and circumstances.
Setting a new direction
In mid-2025 our Vestry developed new Vision & Mission Statements. We have adopted these to guide the life and growth of our parish.

Holy Comforter’s mission is to serve the parish and community with programs that support the whole person, body, mind and spirit and to maintain a safe, joyous, restorative space where all are welcome.
