“Born to Die” Christmas Cantata – December 12
On Saturday, December 12, at 4:00pm, the “Born to Die” Cantata will be presented at Holy Comforter. The Cantata is an Afrocentric version of Handel’s “Messiah”. It is presented as interdenominational, intergenerational, and multilingual, with liturgical dance.
Annual Many Colors Family & Friends Art Show
You’re invited to the Many Colors Annual Family & Friends Art Show, Sunday, November 15 from 2:00 – 3:30pm. The art show will be followed by the dedication of the new Community Gathering Place in memory of Laura Brendle.
Monthly Family Meals Resume in November
On the first Wednesday of every month, beginning on November 4, parish families can meet at 5:15pm for a meal and fellowship in McMaster Hall. Meals are provided.

2027 Stewardship Campaign
Our 2027 Stewardship Campaign begins on Sunday, October 18. Stewardship letters will be handed out to everyone attending the Sunday service. The final ingathering will be Sunday, November 15.
ASU Choir Returns for Kaleidoscope Concert – Sunday, November 8
The Alabama State University Choir returns for an encore performance in the next Kaleidoscope Concert on Sunday, November 8 at 2pm.
All Saints Day – November 1
All Saints’ Day planning is underway! Sunday, Nov. 1 will be a special day of remembrance with name readings and handbells. We ask everyone to bring framed photos of your loved ones for our dedication table. Afterward, we’ll enjoy a potluck lunch and everyone can bring their favorite dish to share.
Critical Needs at the Food Pantry
The Food Pantry has critical needs for several food items, including Canned Peas and Creamed Corn, Spaghetti noodles, Spaghetti Sauce (preferably canned or in plastic), White Rice, Condiments, and Breakfast Cereal.
