Community Garden

Getting Our Hands Dirty

Since 2017 the Community Garden has supplied our Food Pantry with fresh produce April through November.

We began with a grant from REACH – Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health.  This is an effort to reach the city’s “food deserts” with fresh produce. Since then, generous donations have allowed us to continue to serve our community with fresh, organic produce.

The garden also affords the Many Colors Arts Collective participants with a chance to experience the “art” of agriculture.  Each year they have their own raised bed and grow a variety of “Many Colored” tomatoes, peppers, and beautiful sunflowers.

Maintained by parishioners, the garden is an amazing display of God’s creation and serves as a blessing to the whole community.

If you have a green thumb, or just like to dig in the dirt, we would welcome your participation. Just complete the Volunteer Opportunities form and a member of the gardening group will be in touch.
